The north-bound car. In the foreground, skids from the south-bound car - Police, fire service, St John Ambulance and Hawke's Bay Towing attended a two car collision, north of Tangoio, north of Napier. A south-bound car was travelling too fast down a hill, skidded heaps, couldn't stop, crossed the centre-line, and had a head on collision with a north-bound car. Cars queued for miles while the road was closed. photograph
