Tangi (funeral) for Tama Huata, Napier, at Mihiroa Marae in Pakipaki, Hastings. Tama was well-known for his promotion of Maori performing arts, and was the founder of Te Wananga Whare Tapere o Takitimu Performing Arts School, Hastings, and internationally-acclaimed Kahurangi Maori Dance Theatre.

Amanda and Chris were trapped in their car until Unison could turn off the power, after an 80 year-old woman from Palmerston North crashed into a power pole on Pakowhai Rd, near the intersection of Ruahapia Rd, bringing down three poles and breaking a fourth. The woman was taken to Hawke's Bay Hospital. Police, fire service and St John Ambulance attended.

Living the Dream

Salesman was cold-calling a new business and was asked to go by the security office to check in. He was told that all previous salesmen were just asked to leave by security when they got there. Wanting to honor God and submit to the authority in place, he felt at peace and that God would work it out.
When he got to the office he found out they had recently switched security companies and the new company welcomed him. It turned he was the first salesperson welcomed into that business in years. It was an "Unbelievably profitable day!" Peter Rondeau, UK (June 2013)"

Helping hands
Police and St John Ambulance attended an event on the corner of Lyndon Rd West and Railway Rd, Hastings, where a man needed to have his head bandaged after having lost blood.
Weather report: Today's blue skies turn to grey in the late afternoon, the forecast is for showers clearing to partly cloudy fine weather 22 degrees tomorrow.
Police, St John Ambulance and the fire service attended a car accident, where only one car was involved, on Havelock Rd, Havelock North, on the HN side of St Georges Rd intersection. The driver later died in Hawke's Bay Hospital.
Ross Scrymgeour, principal at Hereworth School, Havelock North, pictured in the school's St James Chapel, is leaving his role to move to Australia.

"Thief convicted by listening to podcasts on stolen phone!
Some years ago, someone broke into a woman's house and stole her iPhone.
Three weeks later, a guy called her and said he found her iPhone and all her other stuff. He said he would like to give it back to her, and she felt it was scary, so she prayed and God said, "Meet him in the most public place and get there early."
They met at a restaurant. She asked him where he found her stuff. She asked if he found it in her house. He said yes. She asked why he wanted to give it back. He said he listened to the podcasts on her phone and he heard "Spirit Wars" about how Kris Vallotton would hear voices talking to him at one time.
That man had that problem. He listened 25 times. He asked the Lord to forgive him for stealing the iPhone and heard the Lord say, "Give it back to her." "
