Living the Dream

"Healing in Transit: Business revivalist on way to New York on a mission trip. While in transit in the airport one of them starting talking to two maintenance guys sitting down from work. One of them was a believer. He had back pain at a level of 7/10. Business revivalist offered to pray and then got maintenance man to check - all pain gone! Ole Tom, SFO airport (4.8.13)"

Living the Dream

"My Amazing Healing Testimony – The  TRUTH is, God's Will is Always Healing - Ray Edwards

I haven't talked about this publicly.

Recently I have been through a series of doctor visits, and enough X-rays that I should light up in the dark for a while. Nothing life threatening, but fairly serious and potentially very uncomfortable. A year or so of pain and suffering was what each professional predicted.

I have been prayed for by my most trusted inner circle, and my wife Lynn, Sean, and I have declared my healing to be accomplished.

Today, Lynn and I went to see the oral surgeon for his evaluation and presumably to schedule the surgery. As I was stepping into the X-ray machine, I told the tech we expected the X-rays to show nothing, and no surgery would be required.

Lynn said, "We believe in healing, and we believe he is healed." The tech laughed nervously and took the X-rays. A few minutes later, the surgeon came in and said, "So why don't you tell me why you're here."

I told him about the other doctor visits and X-rays and what they had recommended (that I come to him for surgery).

He looked at the X-ray for a long time and then said: "I'm going to have to see the other x-rays, because I don't see anything on this one."

"So in the meantime, I don't think we need to be in any rush to do anything." He did seem puzzled.

Of course, the other x-rays are going to show what was existing at that time in the past. Then I will have to demand they retake the x-rays, and the new x-rays (showing nothing in need of surgery) will be confirmed.

And THEY will know what I already know - Jesus has completely healed me of this disease. And for his next display of Grace and Truth, the Lord is already bringing about the healing of my other health annoyance (which the doctors call "PArkinson's Disease" because apparently there is no checkbox on the medical form for the diagnosis "Lie of Satan".)"

Living the Dream

"25% Annual Sales in ONE DAY - This report from a Pet Supplies Sales Manager who partners with God at work:

"Yesterday I was working at a trade show for our biggest Distributor customer in Southern California. They invite all the pet product retailers to attend. A believing colleague and I were commenting about how our sales were down 16% compared to YTD last year. WE DECLARED that this trade show would be the boost we needed to get our numbers up.

Good daily sales for a show like this are $40-50k. By the time we were 75% through the day we were at 40k.

Then a customer who was NOT EVEN AT THE TRADE SHOW contacted his sales rep for the distributor and said if we would give him an extra 5% off he would order $450k of our products.
I got my boss on the phone on a Sunday and after some back and forth we made the deal..which ended up being $250k!!!

So we ended the show with about $300k in sales, which is about TEN TIMES THE AVERAGE OF WHAT WE DO IN SALES AT A TRADE SHOW. Even the VP of our a distributor customer ( who has 30+ years in the business) was amazed.

God responded to our simple declaration.

When the new numbers come in we should now be up 35% compared to YTD last year.
God is Good!!!” via Dave Charlson"

Update:
After a comment on another forum that my post was kinda "kitsch", let me add some background:

As I drove to work that morning, much earlier than my usual time, my eye was caught by the beauty of the sunrise and my instant reaction was "Good morning Father." Not addressed to the sunrise for I'm not a sun-worshipper, but to the awesome God who displays his glory in creation yet takes an intense interest in my daily life.

Maybe it would have been less kitsch to quote a scripture:
"The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases; his mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning; great is your faithfulness." Lamentations 3:22-23 English Standard Version (ESV).
Sometimes life really sucks, but most mornings as I leave the house, I have a standard saying, "Who knows what exciting things are going to happen today." I have to live in hope of better things.
