Armed police, armed offenders squad, and St John Ambulance were called to a house in Charles St, Hastings, where a man had been on the roof since about 4-30am. He appeared to have cut his foot. Police allowed a man onto the property, and also spoke to a woman who arrived later. Neighbours said there had been a loud party at the six-house property. photograph
