Spice of Life

Police, the fire service and St John Ambulance attended a man who fell off a minibike near the southern end of the Embankment Bridge, Ahuriri Estuary, Napier, with the assistance of lights from a helpful cyclist. Fire service carried him on a stretcher to where the ambulance was parked on the nearby Hawke's Bay Expressway. Hawke's Bay Towing removed the minibike. photograph

One car, four occupants, hit a tree opposite at the end of their driveway on Ashley Clinton Rd, Ashley Clinton, north of Takapau on SH50. One was taken to Hawke's Bay Hospital, Hastings, by the Lowe Corporation Rescue Helicopter. Others were taken to the Waipukurau Police Station. One or some were pepper-sprayed as they were under the influence of alcohol. Waipukurau Volunteer Fire Brigade, Ashley Clinton Volunteer Fire Brigade, St John Ambulance and Police attended. photograph
