Living the Dream

"Building provision: We were looking to buy a specific building in England to set up a church. We checked with all the estate agents, but no one was selling that building. It had been put up for sale previously but was taken off the market. We decided to rent another building instead. The night before we were supposed to collect the key, we listened to one of Bill's pod-casts. He said, "At 10:30 a.m. tomorrow, a door will be opened." We felt a quickening in our spirits, but didn't know what it meant.

The next morning, when we were at the estate agent's office to pick up the key for the building we were going to rent, we saw a picture of the original building we had wanted to buy at the office! We told them that we wanted to buy it, and they said that it had just come in for sale that day, they had the key and they could show us the building! We looked at the clock, and it was 10:30 a.m.!

The price for the building was 1.8 million pounds, but we got it for only 440,000 pounds, less than half the price! Money for the renovation work poured in from all over. Non-Christians contributed 750,000 pounds, and the town council offered to and (did) pay for the special changing facilities for adults in wheelchairs, which cost 50,000 pounds! It's highly unusual for them to do that. Money continues to pour in for the building's work. The congregation was recently informed of a 48,000- pound need, and the amount collected was 100,000 pounds.—E.W., UK"
