The Lowe Corporation Rescue Helicopter winched a mountainbike rider off Te Mata Peak after he fell about 15 metres from near a site which is popular for abseiling. St John Ambulance and Police also attended.

From Colin White Rd: Hastings District Council Volunteer Rural Fire Force and NZ Fire Service staff attended a fourth alarm level large vegetation fire on a hill along Anaroa Rd in Raukawa. It burned up over the ridge and down the other side, near Colin White Rd, Te Hauke, off SH2.
