HB Wine Awards get underway
Judging for the Hawke's Bay A&P Bayleys Wine Awards started this week at EIT in Taradale. Now in their 16th year they are the oldest regional wine awards in New Zealand.

Hawke's Bay Magpies were amongst the hundreds of people walking 1km in the Walk 2 D'feet MND, a fundraiser for sufferers of motor neurone disease at the Hawke's Bay Regional Sports Park in Hastings.

Staff from Napier and Districts SPCA and Liv Flynn from Hawke's Bay Bird and Wildlife Rescue caught swans and ducks which have gotten sick after eating too much bread, at Anderson Park, Napier.

And for a special bonus this week, here's me making a cameo appearance in a video by my pommie mate Paul Taylor, investigating Wattie's claim of 14 metres of fun in a spaghetti can ☺
