Spice of Life - Holiday special

My choice from a week's work at Hawke's Bay Today J

This week I was lucky enough to trip around Hawke's Bay with ace reporter Roger Moroney, looking at sites of interest, well worth the trip to enjoy. Hey, it's a tough job, someone's gotta do it J

Living the Dream

"Man in construction business was struggling with industry downturn. He was unable to pay their rent and felt the responsible thing to do to move out. They had no money at all and nowhere to go. He was anxiously driving home but not wanting to be worrisome at home so decided to drive around town for a few minutes. He happened across an old three story Victorian house, which had been abandoned for years. He laughed thinking they could never sell it given the amount of work to make it livable. For some reason, he called his wife and asked her to take a look at the house - crazy considering they had no money or work lined up.

The next day they were to meet with the home owner although they knew they would be wasting her time. They arrived early and began looking around the yard when a senior woman walked up. Their children took to her, playing and laughing in the yard. (She finally told us she was the home owner).
After looking at the house, he was sure he could remodel it for mostly his own labor. But before he could be honest about not having any money, the owner said she wanted them to have the house! She would carry the house with no money down, no credit checks, and interest only payments for two years.
Within one week, man and his family found themselves leaving the title company with a house key in one hand, and a check for $5,000 in their other to get them started! They were stunned. They had no idea how this could happen. They owned their own home within a week of being homeless.
Our God does incredible things! (Greg Bartlett, Colorado)"

Living the Dream

"Young woman’s grandmother went into hospital for minor hip surgery. Young woman then had a dream in which she saw family members now in Heaven stroking grandmother in hospital and saying “it’s going to be alright.” Young woman perplexed “It’s just a hip operation.” Few nights later woman’s mother calls in hysterics “Grandmother is dead.” The doctors had given her the wrong medicine that killed her.

Young woman was about 8th person her mother had called. Young woman grabs clothes on and drives to hospital. On the way she is confused and questioning God. When she got there her mother was hysterical in a corner and doctors and nurses had stepped back from the bed having tried everything to resuscitate her. Equipment all over the floor. Grandmother had been dead at least 20 minutes.

Young woman went up to dead Grandmother and touched her forehead. It was cold like granite. Next young woman felt something in her belly she described as physical love that came out of her and she said “I love you Momo.” Grandmother opened her eyes and said “You are such a sweetie.” Everyone freaked out."

Living the Dream

"Charitable trust was struggling financially in part due to over-stretching for growth into local community. Leader prayed for Heaven strategies to restore financial strength. They implemented strategy to expand only when cash-flow allowed (i.e. not borrowing). Within weeks they moved into a new building that had a significantly reduced monthly rent. Next they received word that one of their debtors "The Lord spoke to us this morning to forgive that debt and it's to be a seed sown into you." They fully released them from an outstanding debt of $5,000."

Living the Dream

"Woman who believes cancer is illegal, discovered she had five large masses on her uterus. She went into her surgeon for a pre-op checkup. He waved the ultrasound(?) wand over her body confirming the five large masses, live on screen. Surgeon pointed them out to her and saying the only option is a full hysterectomy. “See them here?” He began to go over them a second time pointing them out to her.

As he pointed to the first one it literally disappeared on the screen. Surprised he went to the next one. It then disappeared under his ‘waving.’ One by one they each disappeared as he attempted to point them out. Flustered he changed the equipment but they could no longer find ANY masses. Finally he said “There is absolutely no need for you or me to be here. Go home.” Now, three years later, there are no masses and cancer remains illegal. Redding, Ca"
